Short answer

Seedance 2.0 Mini is the cheapest Seedance 2 model and Seedance 2.0 Fast is the step above it. On the KreatorFlow website a 5-second 720p clip costs 12 credits with Fast and 9 with Mini; on the API it is $0.45 with Fast and $0.35 with Mini (as of 18 October 2026). On KreatorFlow, Mini usually finishes sooner. Pick Seedance 2.0 Mini when you need many cheap variants of simple shots, and Seedance 2.0 Fast when the draft should look as close as possible to the final Seedance 2.0 render or has a busy scene and camera move.

How to choose between Fast and Mini

  1. 1

Start with what the clip is for

A draft you will throw away, a storyboard frame or one of fifty A/B variants: start on Mini. A draft that should look like the final shot, or a clip you might publish: start on Fast.

  2. 2

Check the resolution and length you need

Website resolutions: 480p, 720p and 1080p on both. API clip length: 4 to 10 s on both.

  3. 3

Compare the cost of your batch

Multiply the price of one clip by the number of variants. The Seedance calculator shows website credits and API prices side by side for any model, resolution and length.

  4. 4

Render the winner on Seedance 2.0

Both models take the same prompt as Seedance 2.0. When a draft works, send the same prompt to Seedance 2.0 for the final shot (a 5-second 1080p clip costs 30 credits on the website). Each render is a new take, so expect small differences.

What is the difference between Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini?

Seedance 2.0 Fast is the quicker, lower-cost tier of Seedance 2. It keeps the same prompt and reference format as Seedance 2.0, so you can draft with Fast and render the keeper with Seedance 2.0 by changing one field. Seedance 2.0 Mini is the lowest-cost Seedance 2 model, built for volume: drafts, previews and pipelines that render many short clips and keep only the best.

Both are ByteDance Seedance 2 models. On the website both deliver 480p, 720p and 1080p. Mini costs less at 720p (9 credits against 12).

Quality follows the price. Mini does best on simple, single-action shots: a pet, an object, one person moving, with a static camera or one slow move. For busier scenes and camera moves, Fast is the better draft model: it is the closer step to Seedance 2.0.

  • Website resolutions: 480p, 720p and 1080p on both
  • Website clip length: 4 to 15 s on both
  • API clip length: 4 to 10 s on both
  • API references per job: up to 9 images, 3 clips and 3 audio files on both
  • API model ids: kreator-video-seedance-2-fast and kreator-video-seedance-2-mini

Which is faster, Seedance Fast or Mini?

"Fast" means faster and cheaper than Seedance 2.0. Between the two, Mini usually returns a finished clip sooner on KreatorFlow, because it is the lighter model. Times move with demand.

For a batch, submit every job at once and collect the results by webhook or by polling. The time for the whole batch is then close to the time for one clip.

When should you use each one?

Pick Seedance 2.0 Mini when you need many cheap variants of simple shots, and Seedance 2.0 Fast when the draft should look as close as possible to the final Seedance 2.0 render or has a busy scene and camera move.

  • Mini: high-volume previews, storyboards, A/B tests of hooks and thumbnails, simple product or pet shots
  • Fast: drafts that should look like the final shot, camera-move tests, social clips you might publish as they are
  • Seedance 2.0: the final render, anything with several references, 4K

How do I switch between Fast and Mini on the API?

Change the model field. Everything else in the request (prompt, duration, aspect_ratio, resolution, references) stays the same, so one pipeline can draft on Mini or Fast and render the keeper on Seedance 2.0. The Fast model id is kreator-video-seedance-2-fast and the Mini model id is kreator-video-seedance-2-mini.

At 720p and above, Seedance 2.0 Fast on the KreatorFlow API costs less per clip than every other Seedance API we track that publishes the same model and resolution (list prices from each provider's own page, checked 2 October 2026).

Frequently asked questions

Is Seedance 2.0 Mini cheaper than Fast?

Yes. A 5-second 720p clip is 9 credits with Mini and 12 with Fast on the website, and $0.35 against $0.45 on the API.

Is Seedance Fast faster than Mini?

Not usually. "Fast" means faster and cheaper than Seedance 2.0, not faster than Mini. Times move with demand.

Which has better quality, Fast or Mini?

Fast, in most cases. Mini trades detail for price and works best on simple shots with little camera motion. For the final shot use Seedance 2.0.

Do Fast and Mini support 1080p?

Yes. On the website: 480p, 720p and 1080p on both. On the API: 480p, 720p and 1080p on both. Neither offers 4K; use Seedance 2.0 for that.

Can I use the same prompt on both?

Yes. Both take the same prompt and request format as Seedance 2.0. Every render is a new take, so expect small differences between models.

Do failed clips cost credits?

No. If a clip fails, the credits or tokens held for it are given back.

How do I estimate the cost of a whole batch?

Open the Seedance calculator, pick the model, resolution and clip length, and enter the number of clips. It shows website credits and API prices.

Draft on Mini or Fast, finish on Seedance 2.0

Every clip shows its cost before it runs, on the website and on the API.
