Short answer
Draft cheap, render once. On KreatorFlow, 4 drafts on Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p (9 credits each) plus one final Seedance 2.0 clip at 1080p (30 credits) cost 66 credits for 5-second clips, against 150 for five 1080p takes: 56% less. Then cut length and resolution to what you publish, and pay the way that fits your volume (prices as of 30 October 2026).

How to cut the cost of a Seedance video
- 1
Test the prompt on the lowest-cost model
Write the shot, then run it on Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p and 5 seconds (9 credits). You are checking the idea, the framing and the motion, not the final detail.
- 2
Change one thing per draft
Fix one problem at a time: the camera move, then the action, then the light. Four focused drafts usually beat ten random ones.
- 3
Render the keeper once, at the size you publish
Send the same prompt to Seedance 2.0 at 1080p (30 credits for 5 s), or 4K (70) when you deliver 4K. 1080p and 4K need a Pro, Max or Business plan.
- 4
Generate just the seconds you need
Credits follow the length of the clip. Make the shots you will use, then join them in the editor instead of generating one long take you will trim.
- 5
Pay the way that fits your volume
Compare a monthly plan, a credit pack and the developer API in the table below for the clips you make each month.
What each lever saves (credits for a 5-second clip, 30 October 2026)
From the credit code the studio charges with. The studio always shows the cost before you generate.
| Lever | Credits | Saving |
|---|---|---|
| Draft on a lower-cost model | Seedance 2.0 15, Fast 12, Mini 9 credits (720p) | 40% less per draft |
| Draft at 720p, publish at 1080p | Seedance 2.0: 15 credits at 720p, 30 at 1080p | 50% less per draft |
| Save 4K for the final cut | Seedance 2.0: 30 credits at 1080p, 70 at 4K | 57% less than 4K |
| Generate just the seconds you use | Seedance 2.0 at 720p: 15 credits for 5 s, 45 for 15 s | Credits follow the length |
| Save Seedance 2.5 for long takes | 5 s at 720p: 24 credits on 2.5, 15 on 2.0 | 38% less on 2.0 |
| Keep the generated sound | Generated audio adds 0 credits on Seedance 2.0 | No extra cost |
| Do not pay for failures | Credits held for a clip that fails are given back | Failed clips cost 0 |
Plan, pack or API: a 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip

| How you pay | Price | Per credit | 720p clip | 1080p clip |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Creator plan, monthly | $25 for 525 credits (350 at once, the rest as a bonus you claim) | 4.76¢ (7.14¢ without the bonus) | $0.71 | Not included |
| Pro plan, monthly | $49 for 1,050 credits (700 at once, the rest as a bonus you claim) | 4.67¢ (7.00¢ without the bonus) | $0.70 | $1.40 |
| Max plan, monthly | $99 for 2,500 credits (1,600 at once, the rest as a bonus you claim) | 3.96¢ (6.19¢ without the bonus) | $0.59 | $1.19 |
| Max plan, yearly | $990 a year | 3.30¢ (with the bonus) | $0.50 | $0.99 |
| Starter top-up (tops up a plan) | $8 for 160 credits | 5.00¢ | $0.75 with a plan | With a Pro, Max or Business plan |
| Global top-up (tops up a plan) | $1,898 for 50,000 credits | 3.80¢ | $0.57 with a plan | With a Pro, Max or Business plan |
| Developer API (prepaid) | From $20, no subscription | Billed per second | $0.55 | $1.20 |
Without a plan, credit packs cover images and video on Seedance 2 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p only. Other video models and 1080p and above need a plan. 1080p and 4K need a Pro, Max or Business plan.
A worked example: four drafts and one final
Say you need one 5-second 1080p shot and it takes five tries to get right. Making all five on Seedance 2.0 at 1080p costs 150 credits (5 × 30). Making the first 4 on Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p and the final on Seedance 2.0 at 1080p costs 66 credits (4 × 9 + 30).
At Max plan credit prices that is about $2.61 instead of $5.94.
The drafts take the same prompt as Seedance 2.0, so the final render is a new take of a shot you have already tested.
Plan, pack or API: which costs less for you?
Per credit, the Max plan with its bonus claimed (3.96¢) costs less than a Starter top-up (5.00¢), and the largest packs go down to 3.80¢ if you can pay $1,898 up front. Without claiming the bonus, a plan works out at 6.19¢ a credit on Max.
Without a plan, credit packs cover images and video on Seedance 2 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p only. Other video models and 1080p and above need a plan. For 1080p and 4K you need a Pro, Max or Business plan.
For a 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip at 720p, the API ($0.55) costs less than Max plan credits ($0.59). The API suits developers: prepaid from $20, no subscription, billed per second of video.
When an unlimited pass pays for itself
During the current sale, KreatorFlow sells unlimited Seedance passes for workspaces on a paid plan. Fair use: a daily fast allowance, then speed adjusts with heavy use. Skip any wait with credits.
A pass pays off when you would otherwise spend more than its price in credits during its days:
- Seedance 2.5 week pass, $239: one 30-second 1080p clip is 300 credits ($11.88 at Max plan credit prices), so the pass pays for itself after about 21 such clips in 7 days.
- Seedance 2.0 week pass, $99: one 15-second 1080p clip is 90 credits ($3.56 at Max plan credit prices), so the pass pays for itself after about 28 such clips in 7 days.
What 30 and 60 seconds of video cost
Built from whole clips of one model at its longest clip that divides the total evenly. Join them in the editor.
- Seedance 2.0, 720p: 2 × 15 s = 90 credits for 30 s, 180 credits for 60 s
- Seedance 2.0, 1080p: 2 × 15 s = 180 credits for 30 s, 360 credits for 60 s
- Seedance 2 Fast, 720p: 2 × 15 s = 72 credits for 30 s, 144 credits for 60 s
- Seedance 2 Fast, 1080p: 2 × 15 s = 120 credits for 30 s, 240 credits for 60 s
- Seedance 2.0 Mini, 720p: 2 × 15 s = 50 credits for 30 s, 100 credits for 60 s
- Seedance 2.0 Mini, 1080p: 2 × 15 s = 100 credits for 30 s, 200 credits for 60 s
- Seedance 2.5, 720p: 1 × 30 s = 140 credits for 30 s, 280 credits for 60 s
- Seedance 2.5, 1080p: 1 × 30 s = 300 credits for 30 s, 600 credits for 60 s
Where these prices come from
KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company, so every Seedance clip on KreatorFlow runs on ByteDance's own models through BytePlus.
Every credit figure on this page is read from the code the studio charges with, and every API price from the quote the API returns, so the page changes when the prices do.
Frequently asked questions
How do I spend fewer credits on Seedance?
Draft on Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p, fix one thing per draft, then make the final clip once on Seedance 2.0 at the resolution you publish. In our example that is 66 credits instead of 150, 56% less.
Do failed Seedance clips cost credits?
No. If a clip fails, the credits held for it are given back. On the API, the tokens held for a failed job are released.
Does sound cost extra on Seedance 2.0?
No. Generated audio adds 0 credits on Seedance 2.0 on KreatorFlow.
Is a plan or a credit pack better value?
It depends on how much you buy. Max works out at 3.96¢ a credit with its bonus claimed (6.19¢ without it), a Starter top-up at 5.00¢ and the largest pack, Global top-up, at 3.80¢. Packs top up a plan and cannot make video on their own; 1080p and 4K need a Pro, Max or Business plan.
Is the Seedance API cheaper than the website?
It depends on the clip. A 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip at 720p is $0.55 on the API and about $0.59 in Max plan credits. The API has no subscription and starts at $20.
Does a longer clip cost more?
Yes. Credits follow the length: Seedance 2.0 at 720p is 15 credits for 5 seconds and 45 for 15.
