A Seedance and Seedream API without the setup
Developers searching for a Seedance API, a Seedream API or a BytePlus API usually want the same thing: send a prompt and some references, get a finished video or image back, and pay only for what they use. The KreatorFlow developer API does exactly that. Powered by ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 and Seedream models via BytePlus, and you call them through a small set of REST endpoints under /v1.
Video models are exposed as stable aliases (kreator-video-fast, kreator-video-seedance-2-fast, kreator-video-mini, kreator-video-seedance-2-mini, kreator-video-pro, kreator-video-seedance-2, kreator-video-seedance-1-5, kreator-video-seedance-2-5) and image models as kreator-image-fast, kreator-image-pro, kreator-image-seedream-5-pro and kreator-image-seedream-5-flash. GET /v1/models returns each alias with its supported durations, aspect ratios, resolutions and reference limits, so your integration can read limits instead of hard-coding them. Seedance 2.0 renders from 4 to 15 seconds in 480p, 720p, 1080p or 4K, with up to 9 image, 3 video and 3 audio references per job. Seedance 2.5 renders clips of up to 30 seconds in 480p, 720p or 1080p.

Usage rules
The API follows the same Acceptable Use Policy as the studio. Requests that try to clone or impersonate a real person, celebrity or public figure are rejected before dispatch, and references must be media you own or have permission to use. If you want to create by hand rather than in code, the studio offers the same models with an unrestricted AI video generator and unrestricted AI image generator for paid accounts.
Seedance API questions
Is this the official Seedance API?
It is KreatorFlow's own API, built on BytePlus ModelArk, ByteDance's official AI platform. KreatorFlow is a BytePlus partner and sends your requests to Seedance 2.0 and Seedream through BytePlus, behind stable KreatorFlow model aliases and one KreatorFlow key.
How much does the Seedance 2.0 API cost?
Usage is billed in prepaid tokens, and 1 token costs $0.05. A 5-second 720p Seedance 2.0 clip is 17 tokens, a Seedance 2 Fast clip of the same length is 13 tokens, a Seedance 2.0 Mini clip is 5 tokens, and a Seedream 4.5 image is 2 tokens. Top-ups run from $20 to $500.
Does the Seedream API support reference images?
Yes. Upload images with POST /v1/uploads and pass the returned upload ids as references, or send public HTTPS URLs. Seedream 4.5 through kreator-image-pro accepts up to 14 references, and reusable characters can be registered once with POST /v1/characters.
Do I get webhooks or do I have to poll?
Both work. Pass webhook_url on a create request to receive job.completed, job.failed, job.canceled and job.blocked callbacks, signed with X-KreatorFlow-Signature using the secret from the Webhooks tab. Or poll GET /v1/jobs/{job_id}.
What happens if a job fails?
Tokens are reserved when a job starts and released when it fails, times out or is rejected before dispatch, so you are not charged for failed work. Sending a request again with the same Idempotency-Key returns the original job instead of creating a duplicate, so network retries are safe; use a new key for a fresh attempt.
