A Pika alternative built around Seedance

Pika started with its own video models and is now a multi-model app. When we checked its site on 30 September 2026, it listed its own Pika 2.5 model next to models from other companies, including ByteDance's Seedance and Seedream. Its free plan comes with no monthly credits, and a commercial licence starts on its Creator plan. We do not quote Pika's prices here because they change; check its pricing page on the day you compare.

Each of the 14 camera templates in the AI video effects library is a camera recipe tuned to how Seedance reads direction: a whip pan match cut, bullet time, an FPV drone dive or a spiral ascend. On the Pro, Max and Business plans, Seedance video renders use BytePlus's unrestricted endpoints, which refuse far fewer ordinary creative requests. Pika's strength today is breadth. If you like to switch between many model makers in a single app, or you rely on Pika's own effects and its music tools, staying there makes sense. Its model list changes often, so check what is available on the day you compare.
