A Runway alternative built on Seedance

Runway is a well known AI video platform with its own video models and a range of editing tools. When we checked its official pricing page on 29 September 2026, it listed a free plan with 125 one-time credits and paid Standard, Pro and Max plans. Plans, credit amounts and model lineups change, so please check Runway's current pricing page on the day you decide.

We are not going to claim KreatorFlow is better at everything. What we can do is be exact about our own product. KreatorFlow is an independent studio and a BytePlus partner. Powered by ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 and Seedream models via BytePlus, and every price on this page is calculated from the same credit rules the studio uses when you press generate. Nothing here is an estimate.

People usually look for a Runway alternative for one of a few reasons: they want to use ByteDance's Seedance models, they want to see the credit cost of a clip before they render it, they want to top up without another subscription, or they want an API they can call from their own code. If one of those sounds like you, read on.

Everything on KreatorFlow runs on credits. The studio shows the exact cost of a render before you start it, and the same numbers are published on the pricing page. A 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip costs 27 credits at 720p and 40 credits at 1080p. Drafts on Seedance 2.0 Fast cost 17 credits for the same 5 seconds at 720p, so you can test an idea cheaply and only pay for a high resolution render once the shot works.

Monthly plans start with Creator at $19 for the first month, then $25 a month. If you would rather not add another subscription, credit packs start at $8 for 160 credits and do not renew. Video generation needs Creator or above; image generation works on any account, and new accounts get 10 starter credits to try it.

Failed generations are refunded automatically, so you do not lose credits when a render is rejected or times out.

Seedance 2.0 renders at 480p, 720p, 1080p and 4K in 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16, 21:9 aspect ratios. 1080p and 4K are available on the Pro, Max and Business plans. Pro starts at $35 for the first month. A 5-second 4K clip costs 120 credits, and you can reference up to 9 images, 3 video clips and 3 audio files in a single render.

On the Pro, Max and Business plans, video renders go to BytePlus's unrestricted Seedance endpoints, which apply fewer content filters to ordinary creative work such as action, horror or realistic people. The rules that protect people still apply. Anything involving minors, non-consensual imagery of real people, impersonation and anything illegal is still not allowed on any plan. If you build products, the Seedance 2.0 API gives you the same models from your own code: one KreatorFlow key, prepaid tokens at $0.05 each, uploads, signed webhooks and idempotent requests. There is no monthly fee, and tokens reserved for a job that fails are released back to your balance. The documentation lives at developers.kreatorflow.ai.

One workspace. Design a character in the character studio, make stills with Seedream in the image studio, then animate them with Seedance. Everything lands in the same asset library, and a saved character keeps the same face in every image and clip.

Camera templates that stay editable. Each template is a written camera recipe with matched settings, such as a crane reveal or a dolly zoom. You describe your own subject, keep control of quality and aspect ratio, and a template adds only 2 credits to the render.

Clear costs. The cost of every render is visible before you generate, and the same numbers appear on the pricing page, so there are no surprises at the end of the month.
