Switching from Sume

What changes in a Seedance request when you move it from Sume to the KreatorFlow API. Sume's side is described as its own API docs show it, with the link below.

  1. Send the job to POST https://kreatorflow.ai/v1/videos instead of POST https://api.sume.com/v1/video-router/generate.
  2. Authenticate with Authorization: Bearer $KREATORFLOW_API_KEY, a key from the developer console, instead of Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY.
  3. Name the model in the body: "kreator-video-seedance-2" for Seedance 2.0, "kreator-video-seedance-2-fast" for Seedance 2.0 Fast, "kreator-video-seedance-2-5" for Seedance 2.5.
  4. Keep the flat JSON body: prompt, resolution, duration, aspect_ratio and generate_audio keep their names.
  5. Use a clip length of 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 15 seconds.
  6. Send aspect_ratio "adaptive" where you sent "auto".
  7. Replace GET https://api.sume.com/v1/jobs/{id}/status, then GET https://api.sume.com/v1/jobs/{id}/result with webhook_url (signed with X-KreatorFlow-Signature) or GET /v1/jobs/{job_id}, and add an Idempotency-Key header so a retried request returns the same job.

Seedance API prices at volume

The prices above are our list prices. With $5,000 or more in paid top-ups over 30 days (Enterprise), Seedance video costs up to 10% less, applied automatically. Here is one clip at that price, next to the same rival price as above.

Enterprise, $5,000+ top-ups in 30 days. Rival prices are each provider's published rate on the date shown; some offer their own volume or account deals. A setting is shown at volume only where the full tier discount applies.

Volume pricing for the Seedance API

The more you top up, the less Seedance video costs. Your tier comes from the token top-ups you paid for in the last 30 days. It lowers the per-second price of Seedance video and raises your video request limit, automatically, with no contract and no sales call. If your top-ups drop, the tier moves back down.

TierPaid top-ups, last 30 daysSeedance video priceVideo requests / minuteReached in one top-up
StandardAnyList price20–
Scale$1,000+up to 5% off60Volume pack ($1,250)
Growth$2,500+up to 7.5% off120Volume+ pack ($2,500)
Enterprise$5,000+up to 10% off300Enterprise pack ($5,000)

Every job's quote shows your price before it runs; a few low-priced settings get a smaller discount. Smaller top-ups add up toward a tier too. Price comparisons on this site use list prices unless a price is marked as at volume. Need more volume? Custom pricing for committed monthly spend: email harry@kreatorflow.ai.

Billed per delivered second; each clip's total is rounded up to a whole token ($0.05). "see quote" means that setting gets a smaller discount on that tier, and the job's quote shows the exact price before it runs.

What the KreatorFlow API includes

  • KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company, and the API runs ByteDance's Seedance models through BytePlus.
  • One API key for every model, with scoped permissions.
  • Signed webhooks for job.completed, job.failed, job.canceled and job.blocked, or poll GET /v1/jobs/{job_id}.
  • Prepaid tokens from a $20 top-up, no subscription. Tokens reserved for a job that fails are released back to your balance.

Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, 720p and above. List rate per second is the rate card price; a clip is billed at that rate and its total rounded up to whole tokens ($0.05), which is why a 5-second clip can cost a cent or two more than rate x 5. Top-up columns: 5-second clips each top-up covers, without a video input. A 10-second clip uses about twice the tokens.

FAQ

Is the KreatorFlow API cheaper than Sume for Seedance?

At every setting in the table, yes: Seedance 2.0 at 720p and 1080p, Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p, and Seedance 2.5 at 720p and 1080p, between 9% and 37% less per clip. For example, Seedance 2.0 at 720p is $0.110 per second on KreatorFlow against $0.154 on Sume: $0.55 against $0.77 for a 5-second clip. Settings where Sume costs the same or less are not listed.

Is it the same Seedance model?

Both APIs sell ByteDance's Seedance under that name. KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company.

How does KreatorFlow API billing work?

You buy prepaid tokens (1 token = $0.05, top-ups from $20). A video job costs its per-second rate times the clip length, rounded to the next whole token. Tokens reserved for a failed job are released.

Sume and KreatorFlow both take a flat JSON body. What changes?

The endpoint, the API key and the model name. prompt, duration, resolution, aspect_ratio and generate_audio keep their names. Clip lengths are 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 15 seconds, so move a request of 7, 9, 11, 13 and 14 seconds to a supported length.

Sume needs mode set to webhook for callbacks. How do webhooks work on KreatorFlow?

Pass webhook_url on the request; there is no mode field. Each event is signed with X-KreatorFlow-Signature, for job.completed, job.failed, job.canceled and job.blocked. You can also poll GET /v1/jobs/{job_id}.

Are failed jobs charged?

Sume says failed and canceled jobs are refunded. On the KreatorFlow API, tokens reserved for a job that fails are released back to your balance.

Is KreatorFlow part of Sume?

No. KreatorFlow is an independent company with no connection to Sume.

Is there volume pricing for the Seedance API?

Yes. Once your paid top-ups in the last 30 days reach $1,000, Seedance video costs up to 5% less per second, rising to up to 10% off at $5,000 (Enterprise), and your video request limit goes up with each tier. It applies automatically, with no contract, and each job's quote shows your price before it runs. For more volume than that, email harry@kreatorflow.ai.
