Short answer
Choose HeyGen for long presenter and training videos, digital twins, video translation and a full editor: its API charges $2.31 a minute for an Avatar IV photo avatar ($0.0385 per second), well below OmniHuman. Choose OmniHuman 2.0 on KreatorFlow for short creative clips from any picture with a face (a pet, a painting, a cartoon, a singer), directed with a prompt, from $0.200 per second at 720p on the same account as your Seedance video. On both, use only photos of yourself or of people who agreed.

How to try OmniHuman 2.0 on KreatorFlow
- 1
Pick a photo you may use
A sharp, front-facing picture with one face: yourself, someone who agreed, or a character you created. Pets, paintings and cartoon characters work too.
- 2
Add the voice
Upload a voice track (4 seconds to 5 minutes) or make one with a voice in the Audio studio. The video is as long as the audio.
- 3
Direct it, then generate
Add a short prompt for framing, gestures and mood, choose 720p or 1080p and generate. A 4-second test at 720p is 16 credits.
- 4
Automate with the API
Send the same photo and voice to the KreatorFlow API: $0.200 per second at 720p and $0.300 at 1080p in prepaid tokens, failed jobs refunded.

What one talking video costs
OmniHuman 2.0 on the KreatorFlow API (720p / 1080p) and in the studio, from the same code that bills it, against HeyGen's API price for an Avatar IV photo avatar (checked 26 October 2026). HeyGen's photo avatar creation fee ($1.32) is not included.
| Video length | OmniHuman API (720p / 1080p) | OmniHuman studio (720p / 1080p) | HeyGen API, Avatar IV photo avatar |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 s | $2.00 / $3.00 | 40 / 60 credits | $0.39 |
| 30 s | $6.00 / $9.00 | 120 / 180 credits | $1.16 |
| 1 min | $12.00 / $18.00 | 240 / 360 credits | $2.31 |
| 5 min | $60.00 / $90.00 | 1,200 / 1,800 credits | $11.55 |
HeyGen is lower per minute on its API, and its digital twins cost $4.83 a minute. OmniHuman counts every started second of audio with a 4-second minimum, so trim silence before you upload.
Which should you use, OmniHuman 2.0 or HeyGen?
Choose by the video you are making. HeyGen is an avatar video platform: presenters, training, translation, templates and an editor, with videos up to half an hour. OmniHuman 2.0 on KreatorFlow is one focused tool: one picture plus one voice track becomes a short talking or singing clip, directed with a prompt.
Job by job, based on what each side documents:
- Long training, onboarding or sales videos with a presenter: HeyGen (Avatar IV up to 30 minutes, $2.31 a minute on the API).
- Translating an existing video into other languages with lip sync: HeyGen (video translation). OmniHuman makes a new video from a still photo and does not re-dub footage.
- A digital twin of yourself from recorded footage: HeyGen.
- A pet, a painting, a cartoon or an anime character that talks or sings: OmniHuman 2.0, which works from any single face in a picture.
- Short social clips where gestures, framing and mood are directed with a prompt: OmniHuman 2.0.
- One account and one API for talking photos plus Seedance video, voices and images: KreatorFlow ($0.200 per second at 720p for lip sync).
Consent comes first on both
A talking video makes a face say words its owner never said, so both services restrict whose face you may use. On KreatorFlow, use only photos of yourself or of people who agreed to it, and confirm that before your first video with a new photo. Photos with nudity or of minors are refused before anything is charged.
HeyGen's moderation policy says creating an avatar of another person needs that person's explicit consent. Whichever you pick, label realistic talking videos of real people as AI-generated when you post them.
How much does each cost per second?
OmniHuman 2.0 on the KreatorFlow API costs $0.200 per second of audio at 720p and $0.300 at 1080p (one token per studio credit), so one minute at 720p is $12.00. In the studio it is paid in plan credits: a 10-second clip is 40 credits at 720p.
HeyGen's API, checked 26 October 2026, charges $2.31 a minute for an Avatar IV photo avatar ($0.0385 per second), the same at 720p and 1080p, plus $1.32 to create each photo avatar. Its older Avatar III engine is $0.99 a minute. Per minute, HeyGen is clearly lower; OmniHuman's case is the kind of clip it makes, not the price per minute.
What OmniHuman 2.0 does on KreatorFlow
OmniHuman 2.0 is ByteDance's audio-driven video model. Give it one photo and one voice track of 4 seconds to 5 minutes and it returns a video of that face speaking or singing the audio, at 720p or 1080p. A prompt sets the framing, gestures and mood.
It runs in the Lip Sync studio and on the KreatorFlow API, next to Seedance video, text to speech and voice tools, so a voice line made in the Audio studio can go straight into a talking video. KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company.
What HeyGen does well
HeyGen is built for business video at length. Its plans page lists Avatar IV videos of up to 30 minutes on paid plans, unlimited photo avatars, and exports up to 1080p on Creator ($29 a month) and 4K on Pro ($49). Its API adds digital twins, studio avatars, video translation with lip sync and prompt-to-video.
On the API, HeyGen says Avatar IV has no native 4K: a 4K request returns a 3840x2160 file with the avatar rendered at 1080p, billed at the 1080p rate. Pay-as-you-go credits expire after 12 months.
Which is easier to automate?
Both have a pay-as-you-go API. HeyGen's needs a photo avatar created first ($1.32 per call), then a video job per script. KreatorFlow's takes the photo and the voice track directly in one job and returns the billed seconds and token cost when it starts, with a webhook when it finishes. The same KreatorFlow key also runs Seedance video and text to speech.
Questions other comparisons skip
Does HeyGen's 4K cost more on the API?
No, and it is not true 4K for Avatar IV: HeyGen says the avatar is rendered at 1080p and stretched into a 4K file, billed at the 1080p rate. For a true 4K avatar it points to Avatar III with footage-based avatars.

Is there a setup fee per face?
On HeyGen's API, creating a photo avatar costs $1.32 per call. On KreatorFlow there is no separate step: each job takes the photo directly.
Can either one make my dog or a cartoon talk?
OmniHuman 2.0 works from any single face in a picture, including pets, paintings, cartoons and anime characters. HeyGen's pages we read describe photo avatars of people; test a non-human picture there before you rely on it.
What if a video fails?
On KreatorFlow a failed Lip Sync job is refunded automatically, and a photo the screening refuses is stopped before anything is charged. A 4-second test at 720p costs 16 credits.
Frequently asked questions
Is OmniHuman better than HeyGen?

How much does OmniHuman 2.0 cost?
On the KreatorFlow API, $0.200 per second of audio at 720p and $0.300 at 1080p. In the studio, 40 credits for a 10-second clip at 720p.
How much does HeyGen Avatar IV cost on the API?

How long can the videos be?
OmniHuman 2.0 on KreatorFlow makes 4 seconds to 5 minutes per video, as long as the audio. HeyGen lists Avatar IV videos of up to 30 minutes on paid plans.

Only with their permission. On KreatorFlow, use photos of yourself or of people who agreed, and confirm it before the first video. HeyGen's policy also requires the explicit consent of the person an avatar represents.
Can OmniHuman translate or re-dub an existing video?
No. It makes a new video from one still photo and one voice track. For re-dubbing existing footage into other languages, HeyGen's video translation is built for that.
Can I use HeyGen on KreatorFlow?
No. KreatorFlow runs ByteDance's OmniHuman 2.0 for lip sync, not HeyGen. KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company.
Did you test HeyGen against OmniHuman?
No. HeyGen facts come from HeyGen's own pages, linked under the table and checked 26 October 2026. OmniHuman facts come from KreatorFlow's code. We publish no side-by-side test results.
