Short answer
Each AI clip has a length cap: on KreatorFlow, Seedance 2.5 makes up to 30 seconds in one take and the other Seedance models up to 15. To go longer, generate the video in segments, using Extend to continue a clip or planned shots with the same saved character, then join them in the editor. A 60-second video from two 30-second Seedance 2.5 clips at 720p costs 280 credits.

How to make a longer AI video in the KreatorFlow studio
- 1
Plan the video as segments
Split the video into shots of up to 30 seconds on Seedance 2.5, or 15 seconds on Seedance 2.0. Write one line per shot: who is in it, what happens, where, and the camera. A 60-second video is two 30-second shots or four 15-second shots.
- 2
Save your character first
If a person, mascot or product appears in more than one shot, create it once in Characters and save it (4 credits, one time). It gets an @handle you can put in every segment's prompt, so the face stays the same.
- 3
Generate the first segment
Open the video studio, pick the model and the longest length you need, and write the first shot. Keep the same shape (for example 9:16) and resolution for every segment, or the joins will show.
- 4
Continue it with Extend
To carry on the same shot, switch the studio from References to Extend, attach the clip you just made, and describe what happens next. Extend works on Seedance 2.0 or Seedance 2.5. It makes a new clip of the length you pick, which continues from the end of your clip.
- 5
Or make the next shot fresh
For a cut to a new angle or place, stay in References and write the next shot with the same @handle and the same wardrobe, light and style words. A cut between shots looks natural; a long chain of extends can drift.
- 6
Join the segments in the editor
Open the editor, import the clips, drag them onto the timeline in order, trim any overlap where an extension repeats the end of the last clip, add a transition if a join is rough, put one music track under the whole video and export.
How long can one AI clip be on KreatorFlow?
The clip lengths the video studio offers for each Seedance model, read from the studio's own model list. Anything longer is made from several clips.
| Model | Clip length | Lengths you can pick | Resolutions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 | 4 to 15 seconds | 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 s | 720p, 1080p, 4K |
| Seedance 2 Fast | 4 to 15 seconds | 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 s | 720p, 1080p |
| Seedance 2.0 Mini | 4 to 15 seconds | 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 s | 720p, 1080p |
| Seedance 2.5 | 4 to 30 seconds | 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30 s | 720p, 1080p, 4K |
What a 30- and 60-second AI video costs
Credits for a video built from whole clips of one model, from the studio's credit code. Kartoonz rows are the price of a finished cartoon of that length, which already includes its scenes being joined.
| Made with | 30-second video | 60-second video |
|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0, 720p | 2 × 15 s = 90 credits | 4 × 15 s = 180 credits |
| Seedance 2.0, 1080p | 2 × 15 s = 180 credits | 4 × 15 s = 360 credits |
| Seedance 2 Fast, 720p | 2 × 15 s = 72 credits | 4 × 15 s = 144 credits |
| Seedance 2 Fast, 1080p | 2 × 15 s = 120 credits | 4 × 15 s = 240 credits |
| Seedance 2.0 Mini, 720p | 2 × 15 s = 50 credits | 4 × 15 s = 100 credits |
| Seedance 2.0 Mini, 1080p | 2 × 15 s = 100 credits | 4 × 15 s = 200 credits |
| Seedance 2.5, 720p | 1 × 30 s = 140 credits | 2 × 30 s = 280 credits |
| Seedance 2.5, 1080p | 1 × 30 s = 300 credits | 2 × 30 s = 600 credits |
| Kartoonz cartoon on Seedance 2.5, 720p | 126 credits | 252 credits |
| Kartoonz cartoon on Seedance 2.0, 720p | 95 credits | 189 credits |
| Kartoonz cartoon on Seedance 2.0 Fast, 720p | 76 credits | 152 credits |
| Kartoonz cartoon on Seedance 2.0 Mini, 720p | 63 credits | 126 credits |
Extend clips also count the seconds of the source clip you attach, so a chain of extends costs more than the same length of fresh clips. Failed generations give their credits back. 1080p and 4K video are on Pro, Max and Business. Joining the clips in the editor counts against your plan's export allowance, not these generation credits.
Why AI videos stop after a few seconds
AI video models generate one continuous shot at a time, and each model has a longest length it can render. KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company, and runs ByteDance's Seedance models. In the video studio, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini go up to 15 seconds and Seedance 2.5 goes up to 30 seconds in one take.
So the first answer is simple: if the video you need is 30 seconds or less and should be one unbroken take, pick Seedance 2.5 and choose 30 seconds. Past that, every AI video longer than one take is made from segments, here and on other tools.
Extend: continue a clip you already have
Extend is a mode in the video studio, next to References. You attach a video, write what happens next, and pick a length. It needs a model that takes a video as input: Seedance 2.0 or Seedance 2.5. The result is a new clip that picks up where yours ends and keeps the same people, setting, light and camera style. It often opens on the last moment of your clip, so trim that overlap when you join them.
Extend is priced like a clip with a reference video: the seconds of the attached clip count as well as the new seconds. A 5-second Seedance 2.5 extension of a 5-second clip at 720p costs 27 credits, against 24 for a fresh 5-second clip. A 5-second Seedance 2.0 extension of a 5-second clip at 720p costs 19 credits, against 15 for a fresh 5-second clip.
- Use Extend when the shot must flow on without a cut: a walk that keeps going, a camera move that carries on.
- Write only what changes next. The model already sees the clip.
- Extend from your best clip, not from an extension of an extension, when you can. Small changes add up over a long chain.
Keep the character and look the same in every segment
Every generation starts fresh, so a person described only in words comes back with a slightly different face in each clip. Two things fix most of it.
First, save the person as a character and use its @handle in every segment. Second, keep a short style line (wardrobe, setting, time of day, lens or animation style) and paste it into every prompt unchanged. Keep the same model, shape and resolution for all segments too. The consistent characters guide walks through this in detail.
For cartoons: let Kartoonz make the whole video
If the video is a cartoon, Kartoonz does the segmenting for you. You type one idea, pick a style, a shape and a length from 15 seconds to 8 minutes, and it writes the script, keeps the same characters, renders the scenes (up to 15 seconds each) and joins them into one 720p video with captions.
It is priced once for the whole cartoon, per minute: 252 credits on Seedance 2.5, 189 credits on Seedance 2.0, 152 credits on Seedance 2.0 Fast and 126 credits on Seedance 2.0 Mini.
Join the clips in the editor
The KreatorFlow editor runs in your browser and puts clips, photos, audio, text and transitions on one timeline. Your generated clips are in your library, so you don't need to download and re-upload them.
A free account exports 5 videos a month, up to 1 min each, at 1080p with a small mark. Creator exports up to 10 min, Pro up to 30 min and Max up to 60 min, with no mark.
- Trim the first second of an extension if it repeats the end of the clip before it.
- Each generated clip has its own sound. For a smooth result, lower the clip audio at the joins or lay one music track across the whole video.
- Use a short transition only where a join looks rough. Hard cuts between planned shots usually look better.
What KreatorFlow can't do (and honest alternatives)
Better to know these before you plan a long video.
- No single take longer than 30 seconds. A longer video is always segments joined together, with Extend or the editor.
- No one-click "make my video 2 minutes" for live-action footage. Kartoonz does that for cartoons only; for realistic video you plan the shots and join them.
- Extend returns a new clip, not one longer file. You join the two in the editor.
- In the video studio, images on Seedance are references for look and identity, not exact start frames. Continuity between shots comes from Extend, your saved character and a consistent prompt.
- Kartoonz renders at 720p and only in its cartoon styles.
- The editor is built for a laptop or desktop browser, not a phone.
- If you already cut in another editor such as Premiere or CapCut, download the clips and join them there. The generation steps are the same.
Frequently asked questions
How long can an AI video be?
One AI clip is capped by the model. On KreatorFlow, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini go up to 15 seconds and Seedance 2.5 goes up to 30 seconds in one take. Longer videos are made by joining several clips, and Kartoonz makes finished cartoons up to 8 minutes.
How do I make an AI video longer than 15 seconds?
Pick Seedance 2.5, which goes up to 30 seconds in one take. For anything longer, use Extend to continue the clip, or make the next shot with the same saved character, then join the clips in the editor.
Can AI make a 1-minute video?
Yes, from segments. Two 30-second Seedance 2.5 clips at 720p cost 280 credits and you join them in the editor. A 1-minute Kartoonz cartoon is made in one go for 252 credits on Seedance 2.5.
How do I extend an AI video?
In the KreatorFlow video studio, switch the mode to Extend, attach the clip, describe what happens next and pick a length. It works on Seedance 2.0 or Seedance 2.5 and gives you a new clip that continues yours. The attached clip's seconds count toward the price.
How do I keep the same character across AI video clips?
Save the character once in Characters (4 credits) and use its @handle in every clip's prompt, with the same wardrobe and style words each time. Keep the model, shape and resolution the same for every segment.
How do I join AI video clips together?
Open the KreatorFlow editor, import the clips from your library, put them in order on the timeline, trim the overlaps and export. A free account exports 5 videos a month up to 1 min each; paid plans export up to 60 min.
