Short answer

Counting the drafts you throw away: a product clip costs 54 credits (about $2.14 on the Max plan) or $2.10 on the API; a finished 15-second ad 162 credits (about $6.42) or $6.30; 10 hook tests 120 credits (about $4.75) or $4.50. Studio dollars use Max at $99 a month for 2,500 credits with the daily bonus claimed; API dollars are the KreatorFlow list rate, read 30 October 2026.

How to work out your own cost per video

  1. 1

    Write the recipe

List every generation one finished video needs: drafts, the final take, and any extra shots.

  2. 2

    Price each generation

Use the credit cost the studio shows before you generate, or the API per-second rate ($0.110 for Seedance 2.0 at 720p).

  3. 3

    Add up and convert

Credits times what you pay per credit: about 3.96 cents on Max with the daily bonus claimed, 3.80 cents on the Global top-up.

  4. 4

    Divide by what you keep

If you keep one video in three, your real cost per video is three times the recipe. Track it for a week.

Seedance cost per finished video

Credits from the studio's credit code. Studio cost at the Max plan's regular price ($99 a month, 2,500 credits with the daily bonus claimed). API cost from the KreatorFlow job quote at the list rate, before volume tiers. 1080p in the studio needs a Pro, Max or Business plan.

Why drafts change the cost more than the model does

A 5-second Seedance 2.0 Fast draft at 720p is 12 credits; the same clip as a Seedance 2.0 final at 1080p is 30. Finding the shot on Fast and rendering it once at 1080p costs less than trying ideas at 1080p.

The bigger lever is how many takes you throw away. A recipe that needs three tries per shot costs three times the table. Write tighter prompts and use references before you reach for a lower resolution.

At 1,000 clips a month: studio or API?

1,000 finished 5-second Seedance 2.0 clips at 720p are 15,000 credits, more than the Max plan's 2,500 a month, so in the studio you would add credit packs (the Global top-up is $1,898 for 50,000 credits). On the API the same month is $550.00 at the list rate.

For steady volume from your own software, the API is the simpler bill: prepaid, per second, failed jobs not charged. For a team making videos by hand, a plan plus packs keeps everyone in one studio.

How does this compare with filming?

We do not print a production-company price here, because we have no published rate card to cite. Ask a videographer or agency for a quote for the same deliverable and set it next to the table. Remember what the table leaves out on both sides: your time writing prompts and editing, and their time on set.

Where these prices come from

Every number on this page is computed from KreatorFlow's own price code: the studio credit cost, the plan and pack prices and the API job quote. KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company.

Do failed generations count?

No. A failed generation is not charged, in the studio or on the API, so the table counts the takes you actually get back.

Does sound cost extra?

No. Seedance 2.0 costs the same with or without generated audio, in the studio and on the API.

Can I make video on credit packs alone?

Without a plan, credit packs cover images and video on Seedance 2 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini at 720p only. Other video models and 1080p and above need a plan. 1080p and 4K need a Pro, Max or Business plan.

Frequently asked questions

How much does one Seedance video cost?

A 5-second product clip with two drafts and a 1080p final is 54 credits, about $2.14 on the Max plan, or $2.10 on the KreatorFlow API.

How much does a 15-second Seedance ad cost?

Three 5-second shots with two drafts each and 1080p finals: 162 credits, about $6.42 on Max, or $6.30 on the API.

What does Seedance cost per second?

On the KreatorFlow API: Seedance 2.0 $0.110 at 720p and $0.240 at 1080p; Seedance 2.0 Fast $0.084 at 720p; Seedance 2.5 $0.207 and $0.444. The price is the same with or without generated audio.

What do I pay per credit?

About 3.96 cents on Max at its regular monthly price ($99 for 2,500 credits with the daily bonus claimed), 3.80 cents on the Global top-up and 5.00 cents on the Starter top-up.

Why are studio and API costs different?

They are billed differently: the studio in plan credits at whatever you paid per credit, the API per second of video at a fixed list rate. Pick the one that matches how you work.

See the exact cost before you generate

The studio shows the credit cost of every clip before you press generate, and failed clips are not charged.
