When did Sora 2 shut down?
OpenAI announced the discontinuation on 24 March 2026. The Sora web and app experiences ended on 26 April 2026. On 24 September 2026 the Videos API and every sora-2 model alias were removed, and OpenAI's deprecations page lists no replacement. Microsoft Foundry retired its sora-2 deployment on 15 October 2026.

Why this page prints no Sora 2 price
OpenAI's pages no longer show a Sora price, and we quote prices that we can read on the owner's own page. Old figures still circulate on third-party sites, but a price for a model you can no longer call does not help you budget.
What you can budget with today: Seedance 2.0 at $0.110 per second at 720p and $0.240 at 1080p on the KreatorFlow API, with sound included. Seedance 2.0 Fast is $0.084 at 720p for drafts.
For Seedance 2.0 at 720p and 1080p, the KreatorFlow API list rate was the lowest of the providers we checked on 30 October 2026 (Atlas Cloud, Replicate and fal.ai).
Which Seedance model replaces which Sora job?
By what you used Sora for:
- Short social clips with sound: Seedance 2.0 at 720p, audio included at no extra cost.
- Lots of quick drafts before a final: Seedance 2.0 Fast.
- One long continuous shot: Seedance 2.5, up to 30 seconds in one take.

Where Seedance comes from
Seedance is ByteDance's video model. KreatorFlow is an official partner of BytePlus, a ByteDance company. The same API key also runs Seedream images and text to speech, and failed jobs are not charged.
